The Notice of Race with Sailing Instructions (NOR/SI) including the Course Diagram, Start Time and other race details will be posted on the 2026 Racing Page of the AISC website by the Wednesday before the race day. All seaworthy and insured monohull sailboats are invited to race - no spinnakers, but whisker poles attached to the mast are allowed. Membership in the Amelia Island Sailing Club is required (annual membership $125) for the boat owner. Membership is recommended for other crew members. Sailboats visiting Amelia Island are invited to race, with no membership requirement. A Provisional PHRF Rating can be provided by the AISC Race Committee for boats without a rating certificate, and it is recommended that an official PHRF Rating Certificate be obtained from First Coast Sailing Association (FCSA - $35) in which AISC is a member.

The Fernandina Beach Right Whale Festival celebrates the annual return of endangered North Atlantic right whales to the warm coastal waters off northeast Florida and Georgia, where they give birth to and nurse their young. With less than 370 remaining, this family fun event raises awareness of the threats to right whales and how we can help in their recovery. The festival highlights efforts to protect these whales from extinction, as well as ocean-themed activities and exhibits that emphasize education and environmentally responsible adventures and products. Annual 26.4nm ocean race from St. Simons Island (GA) to Amelia Island (FL), hosted by the Amelia Island Sailing Club. Registration is required for this race by clicking on the race listing on the Events Page on the AISC Website. Registration is now open and both the NOR and SI are posted. The race is open to all sea-worthy, self-righting and insured monohull sailboats, and sailing club affiliation is not a requirement. PHRF ratings are required preferably from First Coast Sailing Association (FCSA) or the AISC Race Committee will assign a PHRF Rating. The race starts in the St. Simons Channel and ends in the St. Marys River Channel. Spinnaker and Non-spinnaker classes. Trophies for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each class. Makeup Dates - This race is the makeup race for the race originally scheduled for October 24, but postponed due to extreme winds. No future makeup dates are proposed at this time. The NOR includes marina reservation information for Morningstar Marina on St. Simons Island and for Fernandina Harbor Marina on Amelia Island.

The Notice of Race with Sailing Instructions (NOR/SI) including the Course Diagram, Start Time and other race details will be posted on the 2026 Racing Page of the AISC website by the Wednesday before the race day. All seaworthy and insured monohull sailboats are invited to race - no spinnakers, but whisker poles attached to the mast are allowed. Membership in the Amelia Island Sailing Club is required (annual membership $125) for the boat owner. Membership is recommended for other crew members. Sailboats visiting Amelia Island are invited to race, with no membership requirement. A Provisional PHRF Rating can be provided by the AISC Race Committee for boats without a rating certificate, and it is recommended that an official PHRF Rating Certificate be obtained from First Coast Sailing Association (FCSA - $35) in which AISC is a member.

Our Annual Thanksgiving Potluck will be held at Tiger Point on Tuesday, November 17th at 5:30pm The club will be providing the turkey (prepared by members). We ask members to bring a dish to share to create a full family-style delicious meal. Members with last name beginning with A-L please bring sides. Members with last name beginning with M-Z please bring desserts. It is mandatory that all members who would like to attend please RSVP no later than Wednesday, November 11th. We need an accurate count as we are limited to our seating and need to ensure we provide the correct amount of turkey. Currently, guests (other than spouse/partners) will be waitlisted until the RSVP window is closed to make sure we accommodate all our members. **Because we are at Tiger Point, you will need to bring your own beverage of choice (including cups). Social hour begins at 5:30pm with dinner and annual awards to follow around 6:00pm.

RACE: This chip-timed race will start and finish at Omni Amelia Island Resort's Racquet Park. Enjoy a scenic run, meandering through the beautiful, tree-canopied resort. Running or walking is acceptable. No animals or bicycles on the course. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the First Coast YMCA. For additional information, contact (904) 277-5195. DAY OF REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK UP Pre-registered participants can pick-up race packet on November 24 and 25, 12-6 p.m. at the Racquet Park conference room and on race day.
