Wanna go scalloping again on the Steinhatchee Monday, July 27th! If you are interested, contact us with your availability by Friday, July 17th so we can finalize boat reservation and figure out per person cost. Guests are welcome. Here is information about the trip... Rental Boats... Sea Hag Marina, We have a boat reserved to split ($299/full day + Fuel and Tax) - Opening day of Scallop Season (July 4th) to closing day September 10th - Full Day Rental Boat 7:00am (safe Light)-5:00pm. Max 10 people per boat. The more people we have, the better the rate! Bring your own Mask, Fins, Snorkel AND NET to catch the scallops or RENT everything from Sea Hag. To reserve equipment, Call (352) 498-3008 today!* Accommodations: On your own. Last year some stayed overnight on Sunday at Suwannee Gable Motel & Marina. There is a variety of options in Steinhattchee or nearby. The Sea Hag Marina also has Lodging, Shacks, and Motel Rooms. Drive: ~3 hours from Fernandina Beach, which is doable in a day. Plan to leave dock by 9am till ~3pm.

All seaworthy and insured monohull sailboats are invited to race - no spinnakers, but whisker poles attached to the mast are allowed. Membership in the Amelia Island Sailing Club is required (annual membership $125) for the boat owner. Membership is recommended for other crew members. Sailboats visiting Amelia Island are invited to race, with no membership requirement. A Provisional PHRF Rating can be provided by the AISC Race Committee for boats without a rating certificate, and it is recommended that an official PHRF Rating Certificate be obtained from First Coast Sailing Association (FCSA - $35) in which AISC is a member.

2026 GA-FL Ocean Challenge Race

Annual 26nm ocean race from St. Simons Island (GA) to Amelia Island (FL), hosted by the Amelia Island Sailing Club. Registration is required for this race by clicking on the race listing on the Events Page on the AISC Website. Registration will open when the NOR is posted, usually about two months before the race. The race is open to all sea-worthy, self-righting and insured monohull sailboats, and sailing club affiliation is not a requirement. PHRF ratings are required preferably from First Coast Sailing Association (FCSA) or the AISC Race Committee will assign a PHRF Rating. The race starts in the St. Simons Channel and ends in the St. Marys River Channel. Spinnaker and Non-spinnaker classes. Trophies for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each class. Makeup Dates - if the race needs to be postponed, the makeup date is Saturday, November 07. The NOR includes marina reservation information for Morningstar Marina on St. Simons Island and for Fernandina Harbor Marina on Amelia Island.
