Got Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
How physically demanding is the walk?
Not demanding at all! The tour covers exactly 1.0 mile on flat sidewalks at a leisurely stroll. We stop every 5–10 minutes in the shade, and we have a dedicated 10-minute seated break halfway through in the Florida House Inn courtyard.
Are strollers and wheelchairs welcome?
Yes! Downtown Fernandina Beach has sidewalk ramps and curb cuts throughout our entire route, making it fully stroller and wheelchair accessible.
How do last-minute private family bookings work?
Unlike museum tours that require 24–48 hours notice, we are an independent local operator. Submit the form above, and if our calendar is open today, we can meet you at the Depot in under an hour!
What happens if it rains?
Coastal showers on Amelia Island usually pass in 15 minutes. We monitor live radar. If conditions are unsafe or truly unmanageable, we offer immediate rescheduling or a 100% full refund with zero hassle.
Why a walking tour instead of a trolley tour?
Trolleys are restricted to driving streets and cannot enter pedestrian alleys, shaded courtyards, or let you inspect Victorian architectural details up close. Walking gives you the sights, sounds, and photo opportunities you can't get behind glass.
